Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre Expansion Stage 1

LTC Contractors was contracted to carry out commercial demolitions for the $200-million stage one of the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre expansion.

The project required extensive and large-scale demolitions including the removal of 600m³ of bitumen and CT rock. Our professional civil contractors also carried out the demolition of a 1000m² suspended slab and a 1000m² ground slab and footings including RC stairs, and demolition of columns.

Once again our team faced challenging aspects during this Melbourne commercial demolition project, such as the use of truncations of PT strands to maintain integrity of the slab, as well as the Melbourne CBD location.
